Found a Microsoft Freestyle Pro Gamepad at a Boxing Day Sale. (the one that tilts like the Gravis Destroyer but much better. Since when is Wii new?). So I bought two, haven’t seen them in stores for three or four years now. I think they were designed specifically for MCM2.
Not as fast as a good stick mounted on your chair but very cool.
Anyway pulled out my track CD’s and realized I have between 300 and 500 early tracks here from between 2000 to about 2004.
Some good some bad, some just plain incredible like Scumbiker’s “TwinStatesâ€.
This is probably my all time favorite. Not for everyone; definitely not a beginners track but it looks sooooooooo good. I’m sure I’ve done several thousand laps on it over the years. It looks even better now with the digital vibrancy control turned up a bit on your nVidia card. I know that Scum used “3d Studio Max†for his disp maps and colouring.
Scum claimed a 2:20 was a good lap on a 250 when he release it; personally with a 2:10
I’m just getting around the track. It’s a tough track to get a clean lap on. I generally make about 1 in 5. My best lap ever was 2:02. The best all time is 1:57 as far as I know. After a few laps you will probably wonder how this is possible. Someday maybe someday I will break 2 minutes.
I really get a kick out of the objects on this track, I think they say a lot about who Scum
was. Unfortunately as you may or may not know Scum was killed in a motorcycle accident about a year after he released this track. I think it’s a work of art.
Ran a 2:07 last night.
I like a 600 power curve 3 and suspension set soft on this track but the 426 Yamaha looks the best; hmmm a 426 with the 600 power curve might just be the perfect bike here.
Will be uploading all of Scum’s stuff in the near future; about 25 tracks.
